Land Records & Maps Computer Training Class
Tuesdays & Thursdays 2:00-4:00 PM Starting March 23rd
Join us in the Norwich City Clerk's Office for instruction on how to use our Land Record and Map computer system. During this time you will learn how to navigate our system and effectively perform a search. No charge and no registration required.
During this class we are unable to interpret documents for you or perform a full title search. Instruction only will be provided.

Increases to various municipal fees that are administered and collected by town clerks were passed in the latest budget bill #6802. The following are the fees that affect town clerk duties:
Birth Certificate (short form) $15
Birth Certificate (long form) $20
Marriage Certificate $20
Death Certificate $20
Hand-held Scanner Usage $20
Replacement Certificate Filing for a Notary $15

Issues marriage, hunting and fishing, and dog licenses. Issues and maintains Land, birth, death, and marriage records. Issues and records Absentee Ballots, Itinerant Vendor and Alcoholic beverage permits. Records City Council minutes.

Where can I get my passport application processed?
|
As of January 1, 2008 this office will no longer process Passport applications. Please contact your local post office. In Norwich the post office number is 860-887-3559 or 1-800-275-8777. Otis Library also processes Passports (860-889-2365).

Where and How can I get a Marriage/Civil Union License
|
Licenses can be purchased at the City Clerk's Office from 8:30am to 4:00pm. Marriage Licenses can be obtained only in the town you are getting married in. You both will need to show an approved form of a photo ID, (License, Passport, Etc.). Fee = $30.00.
