Economic Development Job Creation / Retention Program (EDP)
The Economic Development Program (EDP), was established to help foster job creation and retention in Norwich. The City of Norwich Office of Community Development is proud to announce this pilot program currently focused only on job creation. The Economic Development Program (EDP) is being funded through the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). This program works to create cohesion between other similar service providers and supplies the necessary funding directly to the employer.
The EDP is an excellent source for businesses to leverage the federal and state tax credits and incentives available. The funding is based on measurable outcomes of job creation / retention and is available to large and small businesses. In order to avoid duplication, the services and funding associated with this program will leverage existing services and funding.
For more information, please review the Policies and Procedures prior to contacting Kathy Crees. Due to requirements of the program, businesses are strongly encouraged to use e-mail as the first means of contact.
