Fingerprinting

We provide fingerprinting services for job or permit applications purposes. Individuals wishing to be fingerprinted are reminded to fill out the fingerprint card(s) prior to arriving at Police Headquarters. DO NOT sign the card(s) until you are in the presence of the officer fingerprinting you. There is a fee of $10 for residents and $20 for non-residents (cash only).

You will also be required to have a valid form of government photo identification. People wishing to be fingerprinted may come to the Norwich Police Department at any time of the day or night. However, we are an emergency service and that may cause a delay at times.

If you have any questions regarding this process, please call dispatch at 860-886-5561, ext. 113.

Child Seat Safety Checks

The Norwich Police Department has officers certified in child car seat installation. We are very pleased to provide this child safety service.

Several child car seat safety checks are held each year in Norwich which give the motoring public the opportunity to have their child's seat property installed by specially trained and certified officers.

In addition to the regularly scheduled safety checks Norwich residents may call the Norwich Police Department 860-886-5561 to schedule an appointment with a Child Seat Technician Officer.

Prescription Drop Box

Proper disposal of prescription drugs is important as prescription drug abuse and accidental poisonings are growing problems. Medicines flushed down the drain or disposed of in the trash can contaminate water, harm wildlife, and pollute drinking water.
