Description of Services
The Recreation Department offers a full range of recreational activities for children and adults. The department is also responsible for maintaining and managing all city-owned sports / playing fields, courts, and facilities.

Registration forms can be found on-line or in our office.CLICK HERE FOR PAPER REGISTRATION FORM.Completed registrations can be dropped off in person, mailed, emailed, or faxed. There is a drop box located right next to the main door for after hour registrations. Registrations will not be completed unless a payment is made. We accept check, debit/credit, and money orders ONLY; debit/credit can be taken over the phone or on-line.
Swimming at Mohegan Park
The swim area at Mohegan Park opening date for the 2018 season is June 20. Red Cross certified lifeguards will be on duty daily from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. All patrons must abide by our posted beach rules. Please note that children under twelve must be accompanied by an adult and infants must wear leak proof swim attire. Groups must contact the Norwich Recreation Department at 860-823-3791 to make beach reservations. Please contact Public Works for Pavilion rentals at 860-823-3798.
