Building Fees
Permit Fees
- For work regulated by the State Building Code: $35 per first $1,000 and $17 per each additional $1,000 of construction value, minimum $35, except as follows:
- Annual maintenance permit fee: $250 in addition to required permit fees
- Mobile Homes: $750
- Temporary installations, not exceeding 30 days: $50 per event
- Relocation of any building from one location to another: Same as new buildings
- Demolition: $25 per $1,000 of assessed value, minimum $35
- Work performed without permits: 100 % of usual permit fees plus required permit fees
- Extend an existing permit up to 180 days: $35
Document & Other Fees
- Initial plan reviews:
- 1-family or 2-family buildings: No Charge
- All other types: $100
- Subsequent plan reviews:
- 1-family or 2-family buildings: $35
- All other types: $50
- Occupancy analysis: $50
- Applications for modification of the State Building Code: $20
- Applications to the Building Code Board of Appeals: $100
- Letters of Compliance: $20
- Certificates of Occupancy:
- R-2, R-3, R-4, 1-family and 2-family: $50 per separate dwelling or sleeping unit
- All other use groups: $100 per occupancy unit
- Temporary installations: $25
- Required re-inspections: $35
- Requested additional or non-permit related inspections: $35
- Inspections during other than normal business hours: $100 per hour, minimum 1 hour
- Copies:
- Photocopies: $1 per page
- Plans or maps: $8 per sheet
State Education Fee
- Per thousand of construction value: $0.26 ($0026 per dollar)
Refund Policy
(Building and Trades Permit Fee Refund Request Policy per State Building Code Section 108.6)
- All refund requests must be submitted to the Building Official in writing.
- Refund request must be submitted within 30 days of application approval.
- All refunds are subject to $25.00 Admin fee.
- No refunds will be made if review is done and / or inspection have been made.
Education Fee Refund
- 100% if permit is not issued
- No refund if permit is issued
