Certified Nursing Aide (2-8 Weeks) Will prepare individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge in the first steps to a career in the medical field. Certified Nurse Assistants play a vital role in health care delivery by providing routine patient care, while working under the supervision of an RN or LPN.
CPR Course (4-6 Hours) The goal of this program is to increase awareness of safety and health; and prepare prospective students to achieve a safer and healthier home and workplace for employees, employers, and our community as a whole by being capable of performing life-saving methods.
Dental Assistant (Dental Assisting I 130 Hours, Dental Assisting II 230 Hours) These courses provide an introduction to Dentistry and Dental Assisting and a Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. A dental assistant's responsibilities include performing tasks requiring both interpersonal and technical skills, assisting the dentist with the patient, developing dental radiographs (x-ray), collecting patients’ medical history, and assisting patients when entering the office and during treatment.
Pharmacy Technician (Course Duration 8 Weeks) Course content includes medical terminology specific to the pharmacy, reading and interpreting prescriptions, and defining drugs by generic and brand names. Students will learn dosage calculations, I.V. flow rates, drug compounding, dose conversions, dispensing of prescriptions, inventory control, billing, and reimbursement.
EKG Technician (11 Weeks) EKG Technicians assist a physician in diagnosing and treating cardiac and blood vessel irregularities using electrocardiogram (EKG) tests. These tests include basic EKGs, Holter Monitoring (portable EKG which records activity for 24-48 hours.), 12-lead placement, and Stress Tests (treadmill).
Emergency Medical Technician (6 Weeks) Will train interested individuals on how to provide emergency medical care to people in a variety of situations. EMT training programs teach individuals how to assess and respond to medical emergencies.
