In addition to the Norwich Works Program, Norwich Youth & Family Services offers the "COOL Directions Program" (Careers Of Our Lives), a youth employment program for low-income* 16, 17, and 18-year olds who are in school.
The goal of COOL Directions is to provide a better path into "real world" occupational areas and specific career ladders as identified by the Eastern CT Workforce Investment Board, an organization that provides funding for this program. Also, we can provide a host of other support services to promote job readiness and school success. In-school students from Norwich, who meet income requirements are eligible for this program.
